“Belarus is always ready to cooperate with those who adhere to the principles of mutual respect, sincerity and order. It is a pity that some of our so-called partners are not prepared to work in such conditions,” Lukashenko said in a meeting with government officials. on foreign policy.

He explained that he would refer to the countries with which Minsk has developed positive bilateral relations in recent years, especially Lithuania and Poland.

“Unfortunately, his position on Belarus could ruin, if not all, much of what has been achieved,” Lukashenko said.

Lukashenko said he had won the August elections, but opposition leader Sviatlana Cichanouskaya denied this and called on Belarusians to protest. Shortly after the elections, she herself went to Lithuania.

Lukashenko has ruled the country for more than a quarter of a century. The EU rejected the results of the August elections as “neither free nor fair” and refused to recognize Lukashenko as Belarusian president and imposed sanctions on officials close to Lukashenko.

For his part, Lukashenko himself calls Russia and China the friendliest countries in Belarus.

“Our traditional allies have supported Belarus despite unprecedented foreign pressure. We feel the greatest support from Russia, China and other countries. At the same time, we are convinced that you will meet your friend in the disaster,” Lukashenko said.
