This year, three candidates competed for the title of “Air King”: Obis Toppin, Cassius Stanley and Anfernee Simons.
In the first stage, the participants made two entries and the judges rated them on a scale of 6 to 10.
Meanwhile, an unprecedented novelty awaited in the final: the two most successful basketball players made a bet, did not award points to the commission and raised letters with the name of the player who made the most impressive bet in their opinion.
The winner of the tournament was Portland Trail Blazers, A. Simons, but at the end of the competition, many NBA stars criticized the commission for incorrectly awarded scores.
This year, the placements were evaluated by Dominique Wilkins, Dee Brown, Jason Richardson, Spud Webb and Josh Smith.
