“We request a multi-member and for the Paneriai-Grigiškės district, for two points,” party leader Valdemaras Tomaševskis told BNS on Tuesday.

The Seimas Elections Law provides that the president and the Seimas, upon receiving a complaint, may address the Constitutional Court within 48 hours regarding violations of the Seimas Elections Law. This assesses whether violations have been committed. If it is established that the violations were serious and had a significant impact on the election results, the decision on the cancellation of the results or the determination of the actual final results will be made by Seimas.

In mid-October, the LLRA-KŠS petitioned the Central Election Commission (CEC) that the results of the Seimas elections in a multi-member constituency be declared invalid due to serious violations.

Later, the party also turned to the Lithuanian Supreme Administration (LVAT), requesting that the Seimas elections in the Paneriai-Grigiškės constituency be declared invalid.

The SACL did not accept the complaint because, as it pointed out, it examines complaints only against such CEC decisions, which are adopted before the end of the vote, and the electoral results are appealed in another way.

“The court did not accept because there are still many loopholes in the law, which is a problem,” said the LLRA-KŠS leader.

The party describes the campaign carried out by the public figure, host of the Andrius Tapinas program, a serious violation of electoral procedure, aimed at preventing the LLRA-KŠS from entering the Seimas.

“It is obvious that there were a number of violations (…) It is obvious that this has a decisive impact on the electoral results,” said V. Tomaševskis.

He indicated that he had received a response from the Chair that a decision from the CEC would be awaited.

A. Tapinas announced the “Everything is fine, Voldemortai” campaign on Facebook before the Seimas elections, urging him to actively participate in the Seimas elections in order to reduce the percentage of LLRA-KŠS votes, said the account to which the campaign could be supported by transferring money.
