Next season, new basketball championships will begin in Europe, which will also be attended by Lithuanian teams.
On Thursday, the Polish club Anwil de Wloclawek announced that from next season it will participate in the European Nordic Basketball League (ENBL), where teams from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Belarus will also play.
Who will be Anwil’s rivals has not yet been announced, but officially the full list of participating clubs should be released in August. There should be 8 of them and 16 after the season.
It is announced that the European Nordic Basketball League is being set up so that clubs not participating in the FIBA Champions League and the European Cup have a place to compete outside of the country.
