According to data from the Lithuanian Banking Association, from January 25. Last year, when the moratoriums were in effect from April to the end of September, a total of about 10,000 residents and companies in the country took advantage of the opportunity offered by credit institutions to temporarily postpone the payment of loans. The total value of the liabilities thus deferred was 1,500 million euros. euros. Requests for deferral of loan installments were received mainly in the first months of the spring quarantine, after which their number gradually decreased.

The members of the LBA agreed in January this year to renew the moratorium until March 31. The total deferral period under the initial and renewed moratorium could be up to 6 to 9 months for individuals and up to 6 months for companies, depending on the type of commitment.
