Although Lietuvos Paštas has not experienced any major delays so far, customers planning to send or receive from abroad are encouraged to take care of packages immediately.
“The messages from foreign post offices are a warning that sooner or later the delays will also reach Lithuania. In the spring, when the first wave of coronavirus arrived, the situation changed dramatically in just a few days, says Norbertas Žioba, director Lietuvos paštas sales and marketing department – Of course, the situation is a little different now – we already have experience, we know how to manage processes, in many cases, however, these are forces of force over which we have no control. That is why we recommend that residents take care of foreign packages as soon as possible: the big holidays of the year are approaching, trips are limited, so it is likely that many people will try to send their wishes to their relatives abroad by packages “.
