At noon, it was possible to watch the broadcast of the flag-raising ceremony of the three Baltic countries in Simonas Daukantas Square. President Gitanas Nausėda made a speech during the meeting.

This year, due to the pandemic, the marches from the Cathedral Square to the Rasai Cemetery and the Bonfires of Liberty on Gediminas Avenue were abandoned.

The festive concerts will also be broadcast on television.

Instead of these events, urban spaces will be decorated with festive luminous accents: starting Monday night, the Gediminas Tower and the Monument to the Three Crosses will be illuminated in Lithuanian tricolor.

In the United States, Niagara Falls will shine in Lithuanian tricolor, and the flags of the Lithuanian states will fly in the heart of the Canadian capital, in front of the municipality of Ottawa, in other cities.

On February 16, 1918, the Lithuanian Council in Vilnius announced the restoration of the independent and democratically organized state of Lithuania with the capital Vilnius.
