The renewed Betsafe-LKL team presents the news to the fans. Famous sportscaster and communication specialist Linas Kunigėlis joins the commentary team this season.
The priest, who has more than twenty years of experience commenting on sports, faces a new challenge with a smile: this season should be special for both the spectators and the players themselves.
“It just came to our attention then. I feel like this season can be special, it should be especially fun. There are several reasons for this: structural changes in the organization itself and a strong staffing, which means more competition,” Kunigėlis said. to LKL.lt.
The sportscaster, who has linked his whole life to basketball, also gave a brief review of the renewed champion teams. According to him, the two strongest clubs in Lithuania no longer exist, indicating additional intrigues during the season.
“We no longer have two brilliant leaders, like we used to have. Now Panevėžys, Utena and Klaipėda are getting stronger and becoming a growing force. It will certainly not be easy for Žalgiris and Rytas to maintain their positions at the top of the table. It will be interesting to see what the players themselves will be like, who even had to go a few months without basketball. Much uncertainty leads to interesting things, ”smiled the priest.
The Betsafe-LKL commentary team this season will consist of seven people: Vaidas Čeponis, Linas Kunigėlis, Karolis Tiškevičius, Žilvinas Aleksandravičius, Rokas Grajauskas, Vilhelmas Bladyka and Benediktas Petkus.
The Betsafe-LKL season will start on September 19, with a match between the Vilnius Rytas and Utena Juventus teams.
