Darius Tamošaitis, the manager of the Varlė store in Kaunas, claims that the robbery was possibly planned in advance. As soon as the thieves entered, they immediately went to the most expensive computers, and then smashed the stands with other smart devices – mobile phones, smart watches. The thieves were not deterred by the abundance of video cameras operating at the store.
Police who arrived shortly after the incident no longer found the thieves. Authorities note that most robberies probably occur at night between 3 and 4 o’clock, because this is the most convenient time to escape: the streets are empty.
The physical point of the “Varlė.lt” shopping center has been visited for the second time in the last three months. For the first time, thieves broke into the ShowRoom store at 241 Ukmergės Street in Vilnius.
