Lightning arrest after lightning theft: 18-year-old in custody

The police reported that on August 30, around 9:50 p.m., the capital’s police received a report that the glass on the entrance door to the shopping center in the Trakai district, Lentvaris, had been broken. A robbery witness was also soon found, who explained that from a distance he saw a young man with a fine physique exit through a broken window in a cafeteria with seized property and left.

Police officers promptly detained the suspect according to the suspect’s withdrawal direction indicated by the witness. This is a Trakai district resident who has been sentenced seven times over eighteen years.

A pre-trial investigation was launched at the Trakai District Police Station and the suspect was arrested. An application for the most severe arrest warrant will be presented to the court today. The suspect faces a fine or arrest, deprivation of liberty or imprisonment for up to six years.
