Panevėžys “Lietkabelis” invites fans to watch the games at home in a virtual space.
The last time Nenad Chanak’s students appeared on the parquet floor of the Cido Arena was on October 21 at the European Cup match against the Telenet Giants in Antwerp. Fans were still watching the game at the time, but after the government banned spectators from events, other alternatives were sought to keep in touch with fans.
On that occasion, Lietkabelis, together with Cido Arena, invites everyone to become virtual fans by joining a specially designed virtual fan room. You will watch the game and viewers will see you on the huge 80 square meter screen that will be set up in the arena behind the spare player benches.
“Due to the current situation, we cannot invite fans to the arena, and their support is very important to Lietkabel, so we decided to offer an alternative: virtual support. Basketball players will see the warm faces of the fans, they will feel your support and they will be much more comfortable competing than in empty stands, and the fans will have the opportunity to experience different impressions than just watching on television screens. The common goal of all of us is to make the atmosphere as close to the matches before the pandemic, ”said Tomas Inčikas, director of Cido Arena.
“In fact, there is a huge shortage of fans, their support is very important for victories. Over the years, we have established an excellent connection with the people of Panevėžys. In the current exceptional situation, together with the Cido stadium, we have found a way to keep in touch with the fans not only by communicating on social media, but also at the local stadium during the match. We hope to see many team fans dressed in the attributes of “Lietkabelis” on screen “I expected Lukas Grabauskas, Marketing Manager of “Lietkabelis”.
Recharge your energy, wear the attributes of Lietkabelis and join the virtual fan zone on the Zoom program on Saturday, the day of the broadcast. Don’t skimp on emotions and other expressions of support, as they will see you on the giant LED screen. Lietkabelis fans, who are dressed originally, will receive a set of club attributes.
