Already in the 8th minute, Marijampoliai created a dangerous attack on Vilnius’s goal, but Mihreto Topčagičius’s shot was blocked from a relatively short distance by goalkeeper Martinas Berkovecas.

In the 15th minute, “Žalgiris” was close to the goal, when a dangerous shot from Andrija Kaludžerovičius was defeated by “Sūduva” goalkeeper Ivanas Kardumas. During the first half, the teams still exchanged long shots. However, the more often the people of Žalgiris tried to use such a weapon, the more they failed to achieve a successful shot.

At the end of the quarter, A. Kaludžerovičius hit the shaft from an acute angle, but the first half ended in zero.

After the break, Žalgiris’s Saulius Mikoliūnas made a high pass into the penalty area after 52 minutes, but neither Livius Antalius nor A. Kaludjerovičius managed to close it off accurately.

“Žalgiris” tried to create situations a little more actively in the opponent’s goal, but I. Kardumas was impenetrable. Towards the end of the second half, both teams were already a little more careful. At the end of the quarter, the referee’s whistle announced zero draws, so the clubs played extra time.

The extension started with a lot of fun. Already in the first minute, “Žalgiris” exploded when A. Kaludžerovičius struck a blow to the head. However, in practice in the next attack, Josip Tadičius, the representative of “Sūduva”, responded with an equally accurate blow to the head.

Both teams, in contrast to the main time of the match, created dangerous moments in each other’s goal. Until finally, “Sūduva” went ahead, when at the end of the first half of extra time, in the 105th minute, Semiras Kerla jumped high with a strong blow to Marijampolė’s second goal.

Marijampolė’s players finished the match in ten, when Linas Klimavičius saw a red card in front of him for a lack of last hope in the 116th minute. However, Žalgiris failed to take advantage of that in the few minutes remaining, Sūduva successfully defended and celebrated the victory and won a ticket to the LFF Cup final.

Vilnius Knights and Panevėžys will meet in the next semi-final next Tuesday. The final is scheduled for October 24 in Panevėžys.
