The pre-litigation investigation also revealed that the company’s employees repackaged the products at the end of their useful life and put them back on the market.

According to V. Pupelis, the information in this regard was sent to the State Food and Veterinary Service and the State Drug Control Service, which applied administrative sanctions to the company.

The completed pre-trial investigation was announced by the police in late November last year.

In the closed case, allegations of bribery and fraudulent accounting were made against a legal entity, the pharmaceutical company Valentis pharma. Seven representatives of the pharmaceutical company are suspected of bribery, some of them – fraudulent accounting, four former and current doctors – bribery.

The study surveyed more than 1,100 people and collected data that the company was able to allocate more than 74,000 bribes for bribes to doctors from 2014 to early 2015. euros.

For this pre-trial investigation, the General Prosecutor’s Office had formed a special investigation group of prosecutors from the Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Panevėžys regional prosecutor’s offices and officials from all territorial subdivisions of the STT.
