In the final days of 2020, Kretinga district officials, together with the Klaipėda District Prosecutor’s Office of the Klaipėda Regional Prosecutor’s Office, closed and transferred to court a criminal case for fraud, high-value fraud and forgery of documents.

The man, perhaps, began to commit criminal acts in January 2019, with greater intensity in 2020 in March-April.
The fraud allowed the suspect to sell 13 BMW, Volkswagen, Ford, Audi, Toyota and Opel cars worth between 1,700 and 15,000 euros. Investigators found almost all the cars, some were complete, in part – to begin dismantling, or completely dismantled.
In the course of the investigation, the suspect was arrested for a month, and then the court took him into custody – intensive supervision (hated).
The suspect, who will return to court, is well known to the police: he has been convicted seven times before, as well as for property crimes: fraud, waste or embezzlement. Now, the biggest punishment he faces is a prison term of up to 8 years.
