“The boy went to the camp with the marine explorers. 11 days – by boat. It seemed like a very fun experience. But the circuses started before they left. Taking the children from the agreed place was not clear what, a man without a list of children and without knowledge. He himself said that they only asked him to bring it, that it had nothing to do with the camp. Well, we thought, everything happens, something happened, the managers did not manage, etc. The children left ” said about the start of the camp.

However, according to Kaunas, after the first day the son called tired and said that there are few children, no one pays anything, those gathered have no knowledge of rowing.

“The manager alone, somewhere around 66, is his wife together, no more adults or experienced people. On the son and another boy, stronger and older, the whole load was piled high. The next day, the first children who did not pass left the camp. Well, everything seems normal, not everyone is created for life in nature, the experience is really hard.

The girls asked the manager to call home, he wouldn’t let her because he didn’t have his phone. They called from other children, the mother said she would come to pick him up. My son couldn’t stand it either, he asked to go home.

When the manager found out that the son was leaving, he was angry. Threats began that his parents would have to pay for him, that he would never be accepted by any Scout, and the saying: “If I weren’t an educator, I would overwhelm you.” He finally declared that they would suddenly pick up things and disappear from the field at 24:00. night ”, my mother was terrified by such sayings.

According to Kaunas, the boys were alone in a very dark forest and the girls did not have telephones.

Head: Taunted the girl

When Delfi contacted the head of the camp, Algimantas Malkevičius, he gave him completely different reasons for the conflict and said Kaunas’ son and two other girls had to leave the camp.

“The camp is a success, the rest of us keep sailing. It happened because several boys insulted a girl, they were warned several times and, since nothing had changed, they were told to stop or drive home. At first they did not He offered to drive him home, but it was suggested that he not make fun of him. So they finally left home, leaving behind three smaller children and we continued sailing with them, “explained the manager.

He is convinced that if the girl was bad for the children who left, then he has nothing to say. He also explained how the children found themselves alone in the middle of the night in the forest.

“They had called their parents before and decided to go home, leaving the giant ship and hoping that we would not swim with the three remaining younger children. Now, two adults and three children continue to sail successfully to Kaunas. However, they hoped that we would not swim, because it was supposed to be revenge, because we did not allow these children to humiliate and ridicule the girl, ”said A. Malkevičius.

When asked if there was too much work on the two older children, he assured that they all rowed, all carried and did the necessary work.

“Parents enrolled the children in such a camp: there is a bathroom here, things are brought and brought back. We also stop every day and swim every day. It is not an easy camp, but if parents write to their children, then they have to think. “

When asked by A. Malkevičius why there were no more adults sailing on the ship, but only a manager and his wife, he stated that there was no need for more.

“A group of up to 15 people must be led by an adult according to the safety requirements. Nobody pays for a safer person, the salary is only for the group leader and that additional person is only as a volunteer.”

He also said that the hot food is provided by a chasing machine that feeds it once at noon, depending on the infrastructure when access is possible.

“I don’t know if there is bad food here, ask the children who now sail together, or are very poorly fed here. They are very happy with that load, yesterday we swam more with the little ones than with the big ones. I don’t know what to talk about here and nobody is forcing them here.

We only sailed more seriously one day because we wanted to cross all of Vilnius, because there is nowhere to camp. So one group rowed for 10 minutes and changed after 10 minutes. We adults do it practically all the time and nobody complained to the children, ”said A. Malkevičius.

In response to the accusation that he had threatened the children with suffocation, he said he was just trying to explain to them how ugly they had behaved.

“It just came to our knowledge then. Every night the girl cried and I tried to kindly explain to them that it was not good behavior.”

When asked why the girl was being ridiculed, she indicated that perhaps because she is from a more complicated family, her parents did not put the necessary elements together and ridiculed her for being an unbearable stench.

“She said it sucks, that the store smells bad to her and it scared her into sleeping in the lobby of the store. <...>. Here such a fist movement after the hike and, most importantly, he said we are not going to swim without them. “

Blame it on the irresponsibility of the father

A. Malkevičius also pointed out that parents often enroll their children in a free camp without listening to them, and if they are “moms,” then they don’t stretch.

“There were really those quirks here because I didn’t make fun of the girl. That was the main thing that offended them. Yes, maybe she was smaller, maybe she paddled more modestly, but that’s not a reason to make fun of a person.”

The manager also recalled that the children were allowed to wait for the children to come and fetch their parents from the campfire, but not from the tents where others slept.

“I said it because it was already late, almost 11 at night, and the sleeping children had to swim again the next day. So those same old men chose to go out into the forest, ”he said.

He also added that he was angry at children with such little education, A. Malkevičius says he did not understand what they were trying to raise.

“When the state supports it, it is possible to act so irresponsible for parents. Instead of gratitude, a wet cloth on your face,” he said.

However, the Kaunas resident rejected the manager’s allegations that the conflict was caused by the ridicule of a girl swimming together. She is convinced that the camp was poorly organized and a manager was unable to cope with the 15 children.

“There is nothing to do with that girl here, because the children started leaving the camp from the second day of their life.” There, little by little, those children were regressing and, as I say, the camp for the children was not fully understood or adapted. The manager picked up a group of children who had absolutely nothing to do with marine explorers and had nothing to talk about taking care of them.

There was even an incident where a new boy had to come to the camp and mine with my son and another boy were brought to look for him.
