Kasčiūnas, lawyers and public figures working in the field of human rights, especially those who specialize in the field of LGBT rights, are constantly hampered: he constantly reiterates that his “worldview”, “ideology” and commitment to communities is an obstacle to duties.
He wonders if a politician who does not accept the democratic provisions of the North Atlantic Defense Alliance and other strategic partners can in principle lead the Defense and National Security Committee.

The Social Democrats point out that in all its documents, NATO has established a strict prohibition of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation, gender, race, ethnic origin, religion, nationality, disability or age.
