Politicians are to blame for people not following quarantine rules
R. Karbauskis admitted that it is difficult to deal with the second wave of coronavirus in Lithuania, mainly because of the politicians themselves. According to their interpretation, there is simply no other way out, because the forces operating in the Seimas at the moment do not have enough public support to be able to persuade people to behave in one way or another only on their authority. Winners on the right are no exception, says R. Karbauskis.
“Elections were held and support for the conservatives did not increase at all. And what does that mean? And that means they have no confidence, they only have the confidence of their part of the electorate (…) I mean that neither we , neither the conservatives, nor anyone else today has the kind of confidence that the President has.
