Therefore, the leader of the “peasants” expects President I. Šimonytė to evaluate the proposed list of ministers in a demanding manner and take into account the lack of experience of the candidates.
“The list proposed by the members of the government simply surprises us with its weakness and, consequently, it probably shows even a lack of respect for the president,” R. Karbauskis told reporters at Seimas on Tuesday.
The leader of the “peasants” also recalls the situation in which the president did not like the candidacy of Lukas Savickas proposed to the ministers of Economy and Innovation due to lack of experience. Therefore, the politician expects the head of state to apply the same high standards to the ministerial candidates proposed by I. Šimonytė.
Now, in the list (of candidates for minister – ELTA) that has been presented, there is half of the list that, by the same logic, might not fit. But we will see how it will be, the President has not yet said his word, we hope he will be just as demanding for this list as well ”, expected R. Karbauskis.
