R. Karbauskis announced his decision to resign the mandate of a member of the Seimas after the session of the LVŽS faction of the Seimas on Thursday. The leader of the largest opposition faction argued that the rulers allegedly disregarded the opinion of the opposition, ignored their rights and did not listen to the opinion of the opposition.
According to the politician, when he changes government, the faction has to suffer because the current rulers take revenge on him personally.
He also said that he would remain active in politics, participate in party activities, form a shadow government.
After R. Karbauskis resigns from the ranks of parliamentarians, his place will be taken by Asta Kubilienė, a representative of the LVŽS who already worked in the Seimas during the previous term.
