Karolis Giedraitis started the season as part of Vilnius “Rytas”, but already in October he received an invitation from Pasvalys “Pienovaigždžiai” to join. The capital club did not stand in the way of the young talent and agreed to defend it.

The basketball player, who left the largest Lithuanian city and moved to Pasvalys, with a population of 6,000, did not feel too much inconvenience.
“Much has not changed: training sessions, games,” Giedraitis said on bcpienozvaigzdes.lt. – There is not much free time, since I played there twice, in Pasvalys. A smaller city, fewer restaurants, and so on. “
It’s no secret that Giedraitis moved to the Milk Stars due to his playing time and the opportunity to reveal his talent at the Betsafe – LKL championship.
Giedraitis, who is still satisfied with his performance, knows exactly what he wants to improve at Pasvalys.
“Until I get to play I am really satisfied, and what I would like to improve … I work with the physical trainer in physicality, and I also need to improve the defense,” said the Vilnius resident.
The adaptation period in the new team did not take long and Giedraitis, who has been representing Pasvalys’ team for three months, collects solid statistics here: 9.2 points, 2.4 effective passes and 8.4 points of utility in 21 minutes.
“It was necessary to understand a different defense and attack system, as well as new teammates. It took me a while to understand, but I think I did a good job, my teammates helped me and the entry was quick,” said Giedraitis.
Charles’s younger brother, David, has been improving for a while at Club Estuadiantes de Madrid. Although the defender representing the Milk Stars did not have the opportunity to go to Spain with his brother, Karolis hinted that in the future he would like to compete with David.

“I myself had offers to go to the United States, but I didn’t want to, I decided to stay in Vilnius. My brother and I had to play half a game together and also a game between us. I would really like to play with my brother in the future. the basketball player said.
The 22-year-old basketball player has repeatedly received beautiful words from coach Gediminas Petrauskas, and Giedraitis himself is pleased with such confidence from the Milk Stars helmsman.
“It is good that the coach trusts me, gives me playing time and I try to do what he asks of me. I don’t always succeed, but I try,” said the athlete.
There is no shortage of veterans in the Milk Stars this season: Four basketball players have reached the age of 30 and Brankas Mirkovičius is already 38 years old. He is the player from Serbia who gives the most advice to the 194cm tall Vilnius resident.
“I sit with Brankas (Mirkovičius) together, he is a player of my position, that is what I try to listen to and learn more from him,” said Giedraitis.

This year, Pasvalys’s game is waving like the Baltic Sea on a stormy summer day – from the victory against Vilnius “Morning” to the defeat against Klaipeda “Neptune” that followed a few days later.
Giedraitis does not overestimate the fluctuations of the game and sees objective reasons for it, and at the beginning of the third round of the regular season Betsafe – LKL highlights the most surprising team.
“It is difficult to say where the reason for the wave of the game is: the captain (Arvydas Šikšnius) fell, Žilas (Edgaras Želionis) had minor injuries and I think that when we all recover, we will show a good game.
The goals are to be as high as possible, here it is natural, and in the championship what impresses me the most is Utena’s “Juventus”, who looks beautiful and shows good basketball, “said the basketball player.
Recalling the victory against his home club “Rytas”, Karolis admitted that there was no lack of additional motivation against his team.
“There was really a lot of motivation, I had only arrived at Pasvalys a few weeks ago, I wanted to show that I am worthy of being in the morning. Of course, we made it, we won the match and it was a lot of fun,” Giedraitis recalled the November duel.
