Jonava’s team “CBet” became the first participant in the final four of NKL – VIKINGLOTT. Pupils of Virginijus Šeškaus in the fourth match of the quarter-final series as guests 106: 86 (25:29, 29:17, 32:20, 20:20) defeated “Šilutė” and broke out among the four strongest teams of the season.
Jonava’s team won the series 3-1 with three victories. CBet basketball players finished the series with two consecutive victories.
In the semi-finals of the final four, CBet will face either Sūduva-Mantinga or Gargždai from Marijampolė. Currently, Marijampolė leads 2-0 in this pair.
The NKL – VIKINGLOTTO final four will take place from April 1-3 in Jonava.
“Šilutė” was 5 points behind Tadas Poška’s three-point start at the start of the third quarter, but then “CBet” accelerated 7-0 and gained a double-digit lead (61:49).
Another boost from CBet late in the third quarter, when they scored a 23-point lead after a break of 13: 2 (84:61). “Šilutė” did not return to the match for the rest of the time.
The Šilutė team performed without injury for Valdas Vasylius.
Darius Tarvydas stood out in the ranks of the Jonava team, which added 22 points (8/10 doubles, 1/4 trit.), 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 30 utility points in 26 minutes.
For the Šilutė team, Ernestas Sederevičius scored 25 points (double 5/11, 1/4 trit., 12/12 penalty) in 38 minutes, bounced 10 balls, made 2 assists and scored 32 utility points.
