After an eight-year hiatus, Jonas Jerebko will help his homeland again.
The basketball player shared a message on Instagram that he would wear the Swedish national team jersey after an eight-year hiatus.
“As a free agent, I will help my country in the selection of the European Championship. I am proud and honored to represent Sweden again,” Jerebko wrote.
The forward, who left the Moscow region Chimki this season, last played for the Swedish national team at Euro 2013.
Sweden will face the national teams of Turkey and the Netherlands in the European Championship team on February 20-22.
Currently, the Swedes are in third place in Group D with 1 win and 3 losses. Croatia is in first place (4-0), Holland in second place (2-2), the Swedes in third place and Turkey in fourth place (1-3).
