There were also dangerous snakes
It is true that when you go to the place, it usually turns out that the reptiles that scared people are not dangerous, generally several snakes. However, J. Gustaitienė said, there have been cases where dangerous snakes had to be found.
For example, about a decade ago, a report was received from eastern Lithuania. “I remember how the police who called us said: we stopped the snake,” laughed J. Gustaitienė.
At that time, animal keepers had to bring an anaconda a few meters long, which was later protected by the Peter Variakojis circus.
“I remember telling us that this snake carriage ended happily for us and the police. A dangerous snake was caught in the wild. And the next time in Kaunas, on the roof of an apartment building, we found a python of more than three meters long. Unfortunately, the reptile was already dead, “said J. Gustaitienė.
At that time, experts discovered that an animal residing in warm lands simply froze.
“There was also a tiger python, a net python. They were protected by P. Variakojis. So it happens that there are also dangerous snakes in Lithuania, but of course much less,” said J. Gustaitienė.
Once in Kaunas, on the roof of an apartment building, we found a python over three meters long.
Experts say the dangerous snake may not have escaped from an irresponsible owner, but may, for example, have arrived in tugs from hot countries.
Speaking about the fact that most of the snakes or snakes found are not dangerous to humans, J. Gustaitienė noted that people do not distinguish between them.
“For someone who does not know them, it is exactly the same. He only sees a snake in himself”, the interlocutor shared his thoughts.
Saw a snake in the bathroom
Once upon a time, there was a case where animal handlers approached an animal woman, as the voice implied. She said that when she turned on the bathroom light, she saw a snake lying.

Speaking about the breeding of exotic animals in Lithuania, J. Gustaitienė stated that their breeding should be more clearly and strictly regulated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
“I really don’t want to criticize anything, it’s just my personal opinion. But I think an animal is happier when it lives in freedom. And nobody will show me that the snake is happy living in the terrarium.
