Puteikis, who registered such a proposal, proposes to ask the CC for a conclusion on whether the Seimas Electoral Law was not violated during the elections of the Seimas members in the Deltuva Sur single-member constituency, determining the results in the first round of the elections. According to N. Puteikis, in one of the districts (Upninkai), where the CEC agreed to verify the ballots, violations were found differing by up to 17 percent to the detriment of the second-place candidate. However, although complaints of discrepancies were made in other districts, the CEC rejected the request of the Center Party-Tautininkai to recalculate the votes in the entire southern Deltuva constituency, as was done in case of the same suspicions in the constituency of Paneriai-Grigiškės.

“The Seimas Elections Law clearly stipulates that essential election results must be determined indisputably, and the CEC must determine election results only after examining all complaints. In this case, the CEC rejected our party’s complaint after having made a decision on the establishment of a couple of two candidates in the southern deltuva constituency, which is an obvious serious violation of the Seimas Electoral Law, ”he says. N. Puteikis.

Center-Nationalists Party on October 23. tried to appeal the decisions of the CEC to the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania, but the latter indicated that after the vote, applicants must appeal to the Constitutional Court after applying to the country’s president or Seimas.

According to N. Puteikis, the Center-Nationalists Party with such a request to ask the Constitutional Court about violations of the Seimas Elections Law addressed the President twice, but the President rejected the complaints. However, according to him, according to the law, doubts about the validity of the petitioners’ arguments are confirmed or denied by the Constitutional Court and not by the President.

“The president is not a judicial institution and cannot prevent political parties from questioning the decisions of the CEC regarding the determination of the electoral results.
