The Lithuanian Railways (LTG) and the Polish Railways Company PKP are signing agreements to strengthen cooperation in freight transport and connect Vilnius and Varuv with a passenger train in the second half of next year.

A joint venture and shareholder agreement has also been signed between LTG and PKP to establish a company that will transport intermodal cargo. The agreement was signed by the Polish company PKP Cargo and LTG Cargo’s Polish subsidiary, LTG Cargo Polska. The joint venture is scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of next year.
