Those who complain of symptoms or furiously this long weekend will not need a coronavirus test. Upon arrival at a supermarket, pharmacy or other location designated by the municipality, those who wish to be tested for coronavirus will receive a special code and can register for the test by calling the hotline. Anyone, even those who do not experience any of the virus symptoms, will be able to perform the test. And the investigation will be an opportunity in mobile points, in cities where there are no points, mobile brigades located outside are promised.

“We want to see the situation more broadly and explore random people. Not only those in certain risk areas or medical facilities are communicated. We are talking about the population that will come to the mall during the weekend. At the same time, part of those investigations are carried out for employees who are in high contact, “says Minister A. Veryga.

It will be possible to explore in ten main cities of the country. Municipalities will provide further instructions. According to the minister, several thousand such tests could be carried out this long weekend.

“You’ll get a code to sign up at those selected locations, so we should take advantage of that long weekend to do a fair amount of testing,” Veryga says.

Well, 7,354 samples were tested for coronaviruses last day, ten of which were confirmed by Covid-19. After an expanded coronavirus outbreak at the Kartena nursing home in the Kretinga district, the government decided Thursday whether it would be inappropriate to close the city with nearly 1,000 residents over a long weekend.

However, it has been decided that such a measure would be redundant for the time being. However, the old man from Kartena hopes that even if the city is not officially closed, people will be aware and will not go here unnecessarily, and only the locals will visit the cemetery on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

“Since the residents come from other places, from Plungė to the cemetery, and from other places, we will not receive their arrival. But the locals will still go to the mothers grave anyway. I’d just like to ask you to go with one or two family members, but certainly not in groups and try to visit that distance and all the requirements, ”says Arūnė Putvinienė, the old man from Kartena.

27 cases of infection have been confirmed at the Royal Hospital of Supportive Care and Nursing in Kartena. COVID-19 was detected in 22 of the 28 patients treated here, most of them of respectable age, and in 5 of the 14 staff members.

It is true that all employees are currently quarantined and no longer work. A change has already been found for them. Specialists from the Public Health Center discover how infections have spread in this institution in general.

“It is still difficult to identify the source of the infection. This requires further investigation. The main information provided by the Klaipėda branch of the National Center for Public Health is that it may be related to a newly admitted patient admitted to the hospital, who was admitted on the 14th, ”said NVSC representative Ginreta Megelinskienė.

According to the old man, intensive disinfection measures are currently being taken in the city, the stairs are being cleaned and the disinfection of the aforementioned cemetery is being taken care of. The Home Secretary also talks about better supervision in Kartena:

“Currently, the police, who have already reinforced the patrols in Kartena and are monitoring the perimeter, are cooperating with the municipal emergency commission. The building itself is also isolated and inaccessible.”

And after the virus was detected in 11 grandparents at the Antaviliai pension, ten of them were hospitalized at the Antakalnis hospital. It was also established that another employee of the institution was infected, a total of 4. The coronavirus was infected in two more social welfare homes in Anykščiai. They identified one infected worker each. Specialists from the Public Health Center report that the insidious virus is currently present in 14 nursing homes.
