According to Irish news, the couple lived in a remote house. The main cause of his death was poisoning in unclear circumstances.
First of all, the husband’s brother, Darius Jarmalavičius, was concerned that something might happen to the couple. Soon a cousin went to the couple’s house and, looking out the windows, he noticed a horrible sight: the bodies were lying on the ground. On a fateful Sunday afternoon, doctors and officials went to the scene of the disaster, but the couple was already dead.
Neighbors say they last saw the couple on February 5.
Both R. Jarmalavičius and R. Martinkienė worked in an egg-packing factory. The man made extra money from nearby farms and also sold firewood on his Facebook account.
Postmortem examination ruled out any possibility of violent murder.
The Irish Independent writes that no signs of violence were found on the bodies, and there were no signs of a possible robbery at home. So far, a conclusion has been announced: The couple was fatally poisoned under unclear circumstances.
It is not yet known if the poisoning could have been due to food or a possible gas leak.
Neighbors described Lithuanians as extremely hard-working, but always pleasant to communicate with.
According to D. Jarmalavičius, the couple, who did not speak English, left in search of a better life. They worked hard to secure their future and made no secret of the fact that they were doing very well in Ireland.
