We must take decisive action to protect people from COVID-19 and new strains of the virus. This time I am addressing a large community of Kaunas entrepreneurs and once again I urge them to get vaccinated. Now is the time to return to work as freely as possible after the holidays.
Kaunas will make sure that the vaccines reach all the major businesses in the city, so it’s up to employers to count everyone who wants to get vaccinated. It is better to spend a day or two on a ‘vaccination day’ than to isolate teams later, stop work and paralyze businesses due to coronavirus outbreaks, ”said Kaunas Mayor Visvaldas Matijošaitis.
The decision to go to the employees was not taken by chance: more than 300 large urban companies were evaluated by analyzing the data provided by the Association of Municipalities of Lithuania. It is gratifying that there are a number of socially responsible institutions, companies and organizations in Kaunas, where the number of immunized employees has exceeded 80 or even 90 percent. Certainly, this number is not enough to ensure a safe environment for both employees and customers.
Free vaccinations at work

The vaccination service in companies is available free of charge to all companies operating in Kaunas, where at least a few dozen people would like to be vaccinated. To be effective, each company must assess the need for a mobile team to arrive and select a coordinator who will be in contact for subsequent processes.
