This year, STI introduced a new cost statement completion wizard, in which people submitted cost statements for housing, auto repair, or childcare services provided through February 15. This year, the EDS has also created an additional “Reports” section, which provides access to monthly and annual income tax returns, filed returns and archival reports, as well as an unreported or unadjusted report.

In addition, the STI plans to transfer the certificate of income and expenses in the wizard to an Excel file, which will facilitate the verification and evaluation of the submitted data.

Among other things, starting in 2020, passenger companies were required to provide data on the carriers using their services and their revenue. The STI will complement the preliminary declarations of the latter in mid-March, and until then people who carry out individual activities will be able to declare income according to their data.

In addition, starting this year, the benefit applies not only to the first higher education or professional qualification, but also to subsequent ones.

Residents must declare and pay taxes before May 3.

Last year, due to the pandemic, the declaration of income and assets took place later, from April 15 to July 1. Income statements generally begin in mid-March and end in early May.
