In the central stadium of the municipality of the city of Šiauliai 9: 1 (3: 1) Exceeded the Vilnius MFA eleven “Žalgiris-MRU”, for whom it was the first match of this championship.

Gintra-University objectives: R. Jonušaitė and J. Ayers 3 each, J. Čubrilo – 2, M. Gibson – 1.

The footballers of “Gintra-Universiteto” started the meeting slowly. Vilnius’s guests, who felt brave in the opening moments of the match, did not allow the hosts to control the ball easily and pulled them out of the crayfish.

Jelena Čubrilo and Jessica Ayers could have added one to the visitors’ advantage if their free kick had dropped a bit. It is true that it was the latter that broke the ice and brought the initiates to the front in 13 minutes: 1: 0.

An unexpected turn of the match took place in the 30th minute, when the team captain Šiauliai was penalized 11 meters after a sloppy play. It was done by Ugnė Lazdauskaitė in cold blood and the result was the same: 1: 1.

On the board, such numbers burned for just 3 minutes. Gintra-Universitet received the advantage of technically playing Jelena Čubrilo – 2: 1. Before the break, Rimantas Viktoravičius’s soldiers managed to disarm the opponent’s goal again, 38 minutes. Rimantė Jonušaitė scored 3 – 1.

After the break, the Gintra-Universiteto coach made a couple of changes and made adjustments to the game scheme. This paid off in the opening moments of the second half. R. Jonušaitė and J. Ayers themselves used their chances here and the result has already become overwhelming: 5: 1.

In the second part of the quarter, the forces of Vilna’s broken team followed more and more, and the Lithuanian champions scored 4 more unanswered goals and celebrated the productive victory: 9: 1.

We remind you that the Šiauliai Club will play the next league A game next week, on Sunday, June 14, at 1 p.m. against the footballers of Kaunas Žalgiris. The meeting will take place in the central stadium of the Šiauliai municipality, admission is free.
