Kaunas youth “Žalgiris”, who did not prepare for the final phase of the Euroleague youth team tournament in Istanbul, finished with bronze.

Dominykas Butka and Liutauras Lelevičius together scored 51 points and 65 utility points, and Arvydas Gronskis students in the small final 97:79 (15:24, 27:22, 23:19, 32:14) beat the qualifying host of Istanbul Anadolu Efes.
Lelevičius scored 27 points (6/8 doubles, 3/4 trit., 6/6 penalties) in 24 minutes, of which 21 – after a long break, he grabbed 8 balls and scored 35 utility points.
Butka’s count: 24 points (3/6 doubles, 5/7 trit., 3/3 penalty), 7 rebounds and 30 utility points.
Motiejus Krivas was the only one to score a double-double in the game: 10 points (4/5 doubles, 2/4 penalties) and 10 rebounds, of which 7 were in attack.
The young Žalgiris made 13 shots of 28 attempts from distance (46.4%). Butka scored 5 of 7 shots, Titas Sargiūnas – 4 of 8 and Lelevičius – 3 of 4.
Emilis Bartninkas added 1 of 2 3s.
The Real Madrid youth, who prevented Kaunas residents, and Rome’s Stellazzurra and Rokas Jocis will meet in the qualifying final. The winners will compete in the Euroleague Final Four in the main youth tournament.
