The Seimas of the new mandate will meet for its first session this Friday. A new parliamentary leadership will then be elected.
While some of the newly elected members of the Seimas are preparing to move in and settle in the parliament building, scores of unelected politicians have already packed or are still packing things.
There will be no LSDDP faction in the Seimas for the next term, as there were only two candidates for this party: Andrius Palionis and Jonas Pinskus.
The faction of this faction took place in the historic building of the First Seimas on Wednesday.

Staff packed their belongings in boxes and a room was set up where social workers met.
The staff who packed the “live” items from this faction joked about whether the boy’s “peasants” were outside the premises.
Representatives of the Lithuanian Union of Greens and Peasants (LVŽS), which will have the largest opposition faction, should now move to these facilities, where the Seimas faction of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP) used to work.
The employees of this faction of the Seimas had just moved items from the premises of the third Parliament building and were preparing to be transported to the new premises.
The Social Democratic faction of the Seimas will now be located in them.

Algirdas Sysas, who was later elected president of the LSDP faction of the parliament, was received at the Seimas building and said that the Social Democrats will also have a place where the Conservatives are now located for this period.
When jokingly asked if he would not persecute the spirits of the right, the politician recalled that the LSDP faction of the Seimas had already worked there almost 20 years ago.

Mantas Adomėnas, who is no longer chosen for the Seimas, has finished loading things. But he didn’t have time to speak and apologized for the rush.
Arūnas Gumuliauskas, president of the Commission for the Fight for Freedom and the Historical Memory of the State, who has not entered the Seimas, said that he would only finish signing the documents and rush out of the parliamentary building.
The doors of the offices of some other politicians who are no longer elected to the Seimas were locked Wednesday afternoon.
Cabinets – under new structures
Asked on what principle it is intended to appoint cabinets for the new members of the Seimas, if future parliamentarians can express their wishes in this regard, Artūras Zeleniakas, Head of the Public Relations Division of the Information and Communication Department of the Seimas Chancellery, explained that each situation is unique.
At the same time, he said that the Seimas Chancellery would take into account the emerging parliamentary structures of the new Seimas.

“Cabinets for new members of the Seimas will be named according to the principle of concentration of members of the factions in one or nearby places (for example, cabinets on separate floors of the same Seimas) and in order to minimize the number of reelected members of the Seimas, “Zeleniak said.

Several criteria are taken into account when predicting where the Seimas factions will be located. Assume the number of members of a group, the concentration of members of a group, the location of the cabinets of the members of a group, and so on.
