During the meeting, according to Arvydas Daunis, representative of this organization, the Family Movement will make two demands on the Speaker of the Seimas: resolve issues that discriminate against society or resign.
“They are very specific,” he emphasized, and said that these last requirements should be treated as an ultimatum.
The demands of the interview you named for the government have changed. According to A. Daunis, the “Family Movement” wants the government to change its decisions: “We don’t want (Governments – aut. last.) resignation or something. Political crisis and there is political crisis. Everybody understands it. We want the government to understand that it is unacceptable to the general public. And we want the government to act, ”he said.
In the Seimas, only with passports of opportunities
We remind you that as of August 23, employees and visitors can appear at the Seimas only with an opportunity passport. The exception applies to members of the Seimas.
When the news portal tv3.lt asked A. Daunis if the “Family Movement” would have any difficulties with this requirement, he says that he had no doubt that these “difficulties for the Speaker of the Seimas”, not for them .
What those difficulties – I do not name.
“If we have a desire on the part of politicians, on our part, to discuss some issues, the preconditions that arise are not serious,” he said.
Although at the beginning of the conversation he pointed out several preliminary requirements to the Seimas Spokesperson, A. Daunys once again emphasized that the Family Movement does not give conditions: “We do not build conditions, we build. That already sounds ridiculous. “
After hearing from A. Daunis several times whether the Family Movement organizers will have passports during the meeting with the Seimas Spokesperson, we did not receive a direct response.
“We can also meet in the old youth garden,” he said.
V. Čmilytė-Nielsen hopes the rallies have estimated how much aggression can occur
“I think it is important that the rallies, at least I hope, have evaluated how dangerous it can be and how much aggression can occur at rallies. I hope that conclusions will be drawn from this,” said V. Čmilytė-Nielsen.
The Seimas spokeswoman also said that she had received an invitation from the Family Movement for a meeting. “I received an invitation from the Family Movement to meet, we are coordinating the meeting time. I think it would be convenient to do it before the picket on September 10, “said Čmilytė-Nielsen.
“Let’s talk about the general situation, what I would expect and what they expect from such events,” he added.
According to her, the organizers of this type of event must take responsibility for their course: “I hope so in the future.”
Police warn participants of the upcoming rally
Police Commissioner General Renatas Požėla warned people who plan to participate in the demonstration. He argued that the law should be read. “Today, I would like to send a message that all event organizers and participants who are planning their meetings at the Seimas should read the Meetings Law carefully and thoroughly again. The police are committed and will take all measures to ensure that the provisions of the Law on Meetings are fully and precisely applied, ”he said.
Our position will be as follows, we will advocate for such events to take place in other parts of Vilnius, ”said the Commissioner General.
“Apparently we will suggest if you ask us what place we imagine. This is likely to be a common place for demonstrations in one of Vilnius’ parks, ”added R. Požėla.
