The incident occurred on a local highway near the town of Krinchin. Here the car was uncontrolled and a BMW driver driving in the direction of Pasvalys crashed into the trees on the road.
The young woman was seriously injured in the accident, she lost consciousness. Another road user who was passing called her and saw a BMW hit a tree.

The firefighters who rushed to the scene released the victim and handed her over to the doctors. The girl was taken to the Republican Hospital in Panevėžys.
Although the road was not slippery at the scene of the accident, a little further from the scene of the incident, on the side from which the girl was coming, the asphalt was covered with a thin layer of ice.
