James scored 33 points, rebounded 9 times, gave 9 assists, and another Lakers leader, Anthony Davis, scored 32 points and rebounded in a 14-ball game in which the Lakers broke the Miami club 124: 114.
After Friday’s game, the result in the NBA Finals became 2-0.
Los Angeles basketball players have shown that in the aftermath of the NBA, they only accelerated harder, and now they play harder and harder, attacking ever smoother.
In Game 2 of the NBA Finals, the Lakers reached 51 percent. shots, and from the end of the first half to the end of the third quarter was followed by a series of 16 consecutive two-point hits.
Los Angeles players have attacked three times this season (47) and hit 16.
The Miami team tried to respond with a strong attack but allowed opponents to score too easily by racking up points under the basket and long distances while defending the zone.
At one point, Davis scored three times in a row, repeating pitches, and then Los Angeles had an 18-point lead.
“I liked the way we competed tonight, but we needed another level to have a real chance, a real chance to win,” said Miami team coach Erik Spoelstra.
Jimmy Butler scored 25 points, had 13 assists for the Heat, but missed injured Bamo Adebayo (neck and shoulder pain) and Slovenian Goran Dragičius (left foot plantar swelling)
Although Miami basketball players scored 39 points in the third quarter, it only helped narrow the gap to 14 points, both Lakers led by two halves, to 10.
“We are playing against a great team and we understand that,” James showed no sign of relaxation.
The third game in the series will take place Sunday through Monday night. I wonder if G. Dragičius and B. Adebayo will be able to return and if so, would they help?
This is the 24th time James has led 2-0 in the series, and his former teams in Cleveland, Miami and now Los Angeles have won all 23 so far. The Lakers last blew a 2-0 lead in the 1969 final against the Boston Celtics.
