Kaunas and Žalgiris Arena hosted the first round of the Euroleague Pre-Season Tour We’re Back and the second Euroleague four-team pre-season tournament from 15-16 September. will take place in Valencia.

The Žalgiris people played an even worse fourth in attack: they scored just 10 points and entered the locker room twice (23:46). One of the green-white leaders, Th.Walkup, even had utility scores of -6 after two halves.
After the break, Kaunas showed signs of life in attack, but M. Schiller’s rotation was greatly reduced by M. Grigonis and S. Vasturia, who had taken personal penalties: both basketball players had to take a forced break when beginning of the quarter.
Although the team’s defense was still a bit weak, “Žalgiris” offered a much more diverse attack to the opponents and, most importantly, started scoring 3-pointers. At the start of the fourth quarter, after L. Lekavičius’ hat-trick, he awarded just 10 points (58:68), but all the lights in the lights were turned on by Olympia’s match hero Kevin Punter.

The American stabbed two more long shots in a very short section and the Italians escaped unsure – 58:76. The rest of the game was just a formality and the guests celebrated the victory with a score of 70:88.
K.Punter scored 6 of 9 three points in the winning game and in total he scored 26 points and 29 utility points.
Thomas Walkup played more effectively in the ranks of “Žalgiris”, with 13 points on his account. Artūras Milaknis became the only other double-digit Kaunas player to rack up all 10 points won in the second half of the match.
In this match, the “designers” handed Kaunas residents a bunch of long shots: they hit as many as 16 3-pointers out of 29 (55.2%). The triple from “Žalgiris” is not bad either (40%), but only 9 long shots pierced the net.
