In some municipalities it is proposed to limit the number of participants in the wedding ceremony

Such a recommendation has been issued due to the severe spread of the coronavirus.

“With the introduction of local quarantine, marriages should not be registered at the premises of a civil registry office,” the ministry said in a statement released Monday.

It is also recommended that civil registry offices use broader services – to provide information and consultations to the population by email or telephone, or – through the Information Services Information System and in other ways established by legal acts, if this is possible according to the nature of the service.

If the civil registry office does not have staff capable of registering a marriage for self-isolation or other reasons, it is advisable to propose that the marriage registration be postponed to a later date.

If for important reasons the date of the marriage cannot be postponed, it is proposed to cooperate with the civil registry offices of the nearest municipalities and, with the consent of the future spouses, to transfer their marriage registration ceremony there.
