According to the portal, a three-year-old boy fell through the second-floor window in Lentvaris on Sunday afternoon. The boy’s mother reported the incident to the police.
The police found the parents a slight degree of intoxication, the latter told them that the child opened the window and fell when they were not in the room.
Upon arrival, the doctors took the boy and his mother to the hospital, and child rights specialists were informed about the incident. Previously, the family was unknown to them.
A seven-year-old boy from Šalčininkai also fell from the second floor on Saturday. About this event around 10 pm a passerby reported that he found a child sitting on the ground crying.
The boy explained to the police that he was home alone and jumped out of the window scared. The boy’s mother, who returned soon, was obviously intoxicated and refused to check if she was drunk.
The boy, accompanied by his aunt, was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a femur fracture.
The specialists for the protection of the rights of the girl had information about this family in the past and temporary custody of a minor was transferred to her aunt.
The circumstances of the events are investigated.
