Media reports indicate that one of the victims is a child under the age of 10.
Devon and Cornwall police announced a “critical incident” in Kiev’s Plymouth district on Thursday night, but later said the shootings were not related to terrorist activities.
After receiving reports of shootings in a residential area near the marinas, special services brigades, including a medical helicopter, were dispatched to the scene.
“Two women and two men died at the scene,” Devon and Cornwall police said in an unconscious report a few hours before Friday.
Police added that a dead man was also found nearby, believed to be an alleged assailant. Shortly after, another injured woman died in hospital.
“They are all believed to have died from gunshot wounds,” police said.
After police approved the number of victims, local lawmaker Luke Pollard said one of the victims was a “child under 10 years old.”
