In the last day, 28 people died from COVID-19 and another 10 people with an earlier date of death from coronavirus infection were registered. In this way, the number of deaths from COVID-19 rose to 38 last day, according to Statistics from Lithuania. Starting January 4. the number of deaths is published on the basis of death certificates from the ESPBI information system and the death of the person is attributed to the actual day of death.
Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in Lithuania, a total of 2,414 people have died from the COVID-19 infection.
People ages 50 to 99 have died from COVID-19. A total of 13 women and 15 men died. These included 12 people aged 80 to 89, ten aged 70 to 79, two aged 60 to 69, three aged 90 to 99, and one aged 50 to 59.
According to data provided by the Department of Statistics, 3,475 people were recovered on the last day, so the total number of people recovered increased to 104,047,59,048 people continue to suffer from the disease caused by coronavirus infection.
To date, a total of 1,799,616 samples have been tested for suspected coronavirus.
5,896 people were vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 during the previous day. A total of 45,475 people were vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2.
