According to the police, at the scene of the incident in Lazdijai district a car was found that collided with a tree, which caught fire after the traffic accident and was extinguished by firefighters.
A seated man (born 1982) with blood coming from his nose was found on the ground near a car, and it was obvious that he was drunk.
He admitted to driving while intoxicated, uncontrollably, he ran off the road and crashed into a tree on the side of the road, indicating that the car was driving itself. The breathalyzer was set at 3.49 avg. drunkenness.
In accordance with article 140 of the CPC of the Republic of Lithuania detained and locked up in custody.
The incident is under investigation.
