Alpine rider Esteban Ocon was unexpectedly defeated in a race in Hungary which was suspended due to an accident after the start. This is the Frenchman’s first victory in his F-1 career.

The Frenchman kept Sebastian Vettel, the Aston Martin representative who chased him for most of the race, finishing second. And Lewis Hamilton, who became the leader of the championship, climbed the last rung of the awards stage.

Today’s race in Hungary started in the rain. Valtteri Bottas moved badly from second, hitting the back of Lando Norris’s car at the first corner. Unable to control the car, L. Norris collided with Max Verstappen’s car. And Bott eliminated another Red Bull driver, Sergio Perez, from the race after colliding with his car in the first corner.

Other athletes also did not escape contact. Lance Stroll collided with Charles Leclerc’s car in the first corner, and the latter did not escape contact with Daniel Ricciard’s car crashing and spinning into him.

As the race was stopped, conditions on the track improved, the sun began to shine brightly, and the surface quickly dried up. Only L. Hamilton made it to his starting position for the second start, as all the other athletes went to the technical service area to change tires. If L. Hamilton started the race on intermediate tires, then everyone else in the service area started on slick tires.

After just one lap, Hamilton headed to the technical service area to change tires, got back on track and finished in line.

Williams driver George Russell held a brief first place, but the latter had to lose several rivals, overtaking him in the maintenance area. Since then, E. Oconos and S. Vettel have been at the forefront of the standings, fighting for victory in the race to the finish.

Hamilton made it into the top ten after overtaking more than one opponent, and made fifth after making the second save. The British quickly overtook Fernando Alonso, who was ahead. The Spanish Mercedes driver stayed more than 10 laps behind him, assisting his teammate E. Ocon, who battled for victory with Vettel leading the lineup.

Ocon, however, managed to retain several F-1 champions S. Vettel to himself and finish in first place. The Frenchman last took the awards stage last year in Bahrain. And the last time he won the race was in 2015, when he competed in the GP3 Championship.

Although Vettel was disappointed that he was unable to overtake the opponent, he took the podium for the second time this year. Meanwhile, at the end of the race, F. Alonso and Ferrari representative Carlos Sainz managed to get L. Hamilton to finish third.

At the end of the race, Sainz managed to keep Alonso behind and finish in fourth place.

Sixth and seventh places were shared by AlphaTauri drivers Pierre Gasly, who probably completed a lap of the track, and Yuki Tsunoda.

Nicholas Latifi, who finished eighth and scored the first points of his F-1 career, can be delighted with a great result. G. Russell also finished the first points on Team Williams, finishing in ninth place.

The last point went to Red Bull, who has led the championship so far, Max Verstappen, who finished 10th with a damaged car.
