In eastern England, two young Lithuanians have been found guilty of murder after killing their compatriot and attempting to burn his body in the spring of this year for a limited reason.

The crime that shocked people was committed in Wisbeck, a city where a large Lithuanian community lives.
In the industrial neighborhood, on Sandall Road, on the morning of May 9, around 5 o’clock, bystanders noticed a burned body of a dead man thrown into the bushes, and a bicycle was thrown nearby.
That same day it was established that the victim was 28-year-old Mindaugas Arlauskas, and the suspects were also arrested: his late colleagues Tomas Lazdauskas (24 years old) and Donatas Umbrasas (27 years old).
At the beginning of the investigation, it was found that the murderer died after severe blows to the head, which was seriously injured, and the body was burned after his death. After the case was transferred to court, the course of the crime was also revealed to the public.
The defendants were found to have lured their victim home by previously planning to beat him over an earlier dispute involving a woman.
On the night of Friday, May 8, Tomas Lazdauskas invited Mindaugas Arlauskas to his home on Milner Road, who came to the guests by bike and found a host drunk with Donatas Umbras.
The trio went up to the second floor of the building, where a dispute arose, which quickly turned into an outbreak of violence: Donatas Imbrasas flipped the guest onto the floor and began hitting him in the face, according to the case file.
Then the man stretched his victim into the interior courtyard of the house and began beating him with a metal stick, a chair and other objects stuck in his hand until the life of Mindaugas Arlauskas was extinguished.
At night, the accomplices decided to dispose of the body of the deceased, put him on a bicycle and took him to an industrial area on the outskirts of Wisbech, threw him into a shelter and set fire to destroy the evidence.
On Monday, the Peterborough Crown Court put a point in the trial: Tomas Lazdauskas, who had previously been acquitted of murder, was found guilty of conduct that resulted in the death of a person (these are different articles in the law English and Welsh).
Donat Umbrasas pleaded guilty in a previous court hearing.
“A young man was killed by the barbarian behavior of the accused. Although Lazdauskas had no intention of committing the murder, he deliberately lured the victim into his home knowing that Umbrasas wanted to harm him, ”explained Emma Pitts, a local police detective inspector.
The court promises to announce the sentences to the Lithuanians on December 18.
The parents of the murdered Mindaugas Arlauskas also presented their statement in the case.
“We are overwhelmed by the sudden loss of a beloved son.
He loved us and our whole family very much, we will miss him very much, ”says his message.
