Plans to install an indoor soccer field in Alytus are gaining momentum. At a city council meeting Thursday, Alytus politicians approved the preparation of the manege project. But first you need to choose the most suitable place for him.
Discussions about the installation of a covered soccer field in the municipality began almost a decade ago. Gediminas Daukšys, a member of the council, again raised the question of its need in the city.
Council members agreed that such a place was needed in the city, but there is no consensus on where to occupy it. The council members will have to decide where such a maneuver might occur, a draft will be prepared and only then will the council have to decide on the construction of the maneuver.
One of the proposed locations is the area near Lake Gulbynė. As G. Daukšys has pointed out, there is a well-developed transport infrastructure nearby, so it would be convenient for children to come to trainings and go home after them. In addition, the construction of the manege would improve the aesthetic appearance of the Putin district, as a modern building would be designed.
22 councilors voted for the elaboration of the manege project, 3 abstained.
