Representatives of municipalities: the data do not coincide completely

Salcininkai d. The head of the Department of Education, Regina Markevič Delfi, commented that the Lithuanian Department of Statistics and its data do not match.

“I have data from Friday (September 10 – Delphi) that has been collected from schools and it is different. We do not know what information is there and what it is calculated for,” he said.

According to the municipality, a total of 59% have been vaccinated in the educational sector and 24% have antibodies.

“Thus, a total of 83 percent are immunized. these workers. It’s not that bad and I don’t think it’s much better somewhere. These are really data collected from each institution, calculated by people and by percentage, ”said the head of the education department.

R. Markevič emphasized that they carefully collect and analyze data on the situation in an educational institution separate from his municipality, which makes it difficult for him to understand the data published by the department.

Skuodo r. the mayor spoke Petras Pušinskas said that he had extracted all the data according to the individual educational institutions registered in his district.

“It just came to our notice then. As far as I know, some workers in the education sector had antibodies, so after 80 days they did antibody tests, which were still found, so they were in no rush to get vaccinated.

Now I see that between 70 and 79 percent of people got immunized in Ylakiai and Skuodas kindergartens. It is true that there were riots in the Skuodas kindergarten in the spring, when the vaccination began. There was panic among the workers when vaccination with Astra Zeneca was introduced, and they learned about the side effects, ”he recalled.

According to the mayor, some have changed their minds and been vaccinated at this time, and in general those educational institutions are somewhat concerned about him, but the staff are constantly tested according to all the instructions of the head of the operations center. He confirmed that the party is still opting for the test.

“They have heard many different opinions and that choice, and ethics does not allow to be vaccinated, so it is still better for a person to make a personal decision,” said P. Pušinskas.

He also criticized the country’s communication when he first spoke about the side effects and only later about the benefits.

“You know, a person first hears the first message, and then, without telling them, they will continue to rely more on the primary information,” the mayor summarized.
