At the United League tournament in St. Petersburg, the Lithuanian trio were impressively in the top four, but failed to cross the semi-final barrier.

With two minutes remaining, the Dutch team led 19:14. Then Gintautas Matulis scored six points in a row and weighed the result (20:19).
The winning shot was scored by Šulskis, who was completely free in the two-point zone.

Šulskis was the most productive of the Lithuanian team: he scored 10 points. Matulis added 9 points and Skučas scored 3 points.
There will be a total of four United League tours in St. Petersburg. In the top three, teams will score points and the top eight will advance to the final round.
The two qualifying rounds must include a team based on the Juventus team, and the other 3 × 3 team candidates must go to the other teams. National team coaches also plan to participate in the FIBA Masters tournament in Doha from March 26-27.
