Ms. Laimutė is delighted with the flowering of dahlias from early spring to late fall. The last flowers of the dahlias will fall to bite the frost.
“It starts to flower in early spring and blooms until late. Some flower earlier, others later. I have a computer, I have internet, I am interested, I read. I like it. Every day I learn something new about dahlias. A person lives and learns, reads and learns, applies the acquired knowledge ”, the woman teaches.
Vegetables – in moderation
The larger plot also has space for vegetables. It is true that your family of two needs very little. Ms. Laimutė, who lives with her husband Jonas, says there is enough space for everything on their lot.
“I grow vegetables, but very little. We have our own potatoes, our own carrots and our beets. I also allocate space for the garden, very little. I also have a greenhouse, there is enough space for everything,” says Ms Laimutė.
Enjoy life
The woman loves to talk about growing dahlias and says they bring joy to life. And the daughter taught him to enjoy life.
“My daughter advised me to enjoy life and do what I like. I like to grow dahlias, I grow them. I’m glad. My year is already such that I have to be happy for what is left, ”smiles the dahlia grower.
Other activities in winter
Ms. Laimutė is not short of activities even in winter. He sits in front of the computer, reads, he is interested in flowers and fabrics.
“I am a master of all purposes, I just don’t know anything humanly. There was no such thing or pattern that I would not try to knit. Knit in winter. There is no time to rest, there are activities,” laughs the woman.
A strong marriage
Laimute is always supported and does not oppose her husband Jonas. Jonas and Laimutė Žukauskas have lived together for more than four decades.
The couple is not angry, but complements each other and lives in harmony and peace.
