Go to another quarantine by hand?
According to the Prime Minister’s adviser, no one would want to announce another quarantine, not the Government or the public itself, which, in his opinion, would simply go into the third quarantine manually. Therefore, as Ž.Gudlevičienė has spoken, it would be better to apply specific measures to reduce the number of contacts.
“I really don’t want that situation (to keep the number of diseases – aut.past.), but of course other measures can be considered. Again, no one wants the quarantine and no one would follow it, perhaps we could say that, but then perhaps teleworking would be mandatory for people who perform certain functions, ”the government representative gave an example.
He said he did not agree that the return of masks in confined spaces and the recommendation to work remotely already amounted to quarantine, but it was the latter aspect that surprised the behavior of the workers.
“Why is the virus spreading in one company or another? Because a man came, they measured his temperature, no, but he already had a sore throat, he coughed, sneezed, he started all day. When he returned home, he measured the temperature, she had already rebelled. The PCR test was done and it already tested positive.

At the same time, the prime minister’s adviser indicated that the masks should be worn not only indoors but also outdoors when a safe distance cannot be maintained.
“If people refuse to vaccinate and no longer follow the recommendations, the obligation to actually wear masks indoors is restored, and if we are outdoors and we cannot keep two meters between people, then we will have to wear masks”, said.
Why is the situation getting worse?
I.Šimonytė’s advisor explained the growing number of coronavirus cases due to changing weather conditions, ignoring the recommendations and the decline in the number of people who want to get vaccinated.
“I would see this situation as an autumn situation. This is the fall, the cold weather, the natural onset of various upper respiratory tract diseases, viral diseases, and of course the COVID-19 virus is a very favorable medium for spread. We are seeing a jump in the number of cases, it is influenced by seasonality and the general relaxation of our people.
When everyone says why it is like this in Scandinavia, there is no need to wear masks there, all releases are done, so people are more disciplined. If there is a recommendation to wear skins, then everyone is listening and using. And with us, as we know, the recommendation to wear is the same as not wearing a mask.
Vaccination figures are no longer increasing. The number of people who have been vaccinated voluntarily or a little with an incentive is already in the percentage in which it is already difficult to reach even higher numbers. It is possible, but then you need to work individually and at least another 10 percent. Vaccination will be a more complicated and longer process.

According to Ž.Gudlevičienė, before comparing the situation regarding restrictions in Lithuania and other countries, people should pay attention not only to the decisions made by the government, but also to their own behavior.
“Finland, where 62 oroc have also been vaccinated. adult populations, lifted all restrictions, but left a recommendation for people to behave as they look and wear masks. It is up to the person to decide if they want to wear the mask or not. I have no doubt that the Finnish people will follow that recommendation.
