A discussion about the fines received was interrupted last week on the Riešė community Facebook group.
Reports of rapes since October last year have begun to circulate en masse.
A large part of the population stated that the speed was slightly exceeded, driving at 40-45 km / h in that place.
People were most outraged by the fact that the speedometer had been running quietly for almost half a year, and information about the violations had only just started to flow last week.
“Is it really that normal to be silent for a long time and finally send all the fiber? After all, if he gets it once, chances are he won’t exceed it later, “Egidijus noted.
Police representative Ramūnas Matonis, who noted the discussion, explained that the situation should be clarified with the Lithuanian Highway Administration (LAKD).
“This speedometer belongs to LAKD, its tolerance is 10 km,” wrote R. Matonis, explaining why the fines had only been reached now. “Due to technical hurdles, the logged data has been stored for several months and only now everyone has entered the system where the rape protocols were drawn up at the same time.”
Discussions differed, with some arguing in favor of diligent enforcement of the rules and payment for violations.
However, others claimed 30 km / h was set. speed limits in the gym are not adequate.
“In my opinion, there are no objective reasons to set such a low speed exclusively in the Riešė Gymnasium. There are pedestrian and bicycle paths, crossings, plateau slides, enough visibility for drivers to monitor the environment and stop the car at time for children on the street, wrote Tom. – Near other schools where there is no visibility, the Road Administration cannot erect signs, and here they have made a complete set. In other words, he “thanked” him for all the complaints and writings “.
Due to this situation, the Riešė resident community approached the police and the Interior Ministry on Monday, questioning the reliability of the speedometer and the significance of the fines imposed.
