“Yes, I have actually heard many times that it may not be worth studying in higher education, because you can earn well even with, say, vocational education. Meanwhile, the highest salaries in 2020 were obtained by: top managers, management employees, IT, telecommunications, law, banking, pharmaceutical, economics, marketing, construction.

Average salary in 2020 by type of employer

Higher wages can be expected in foreign capital companies, where in 2020 employees earned significantly more than in local or state capital companies, as well as in these companies the annual growth of wages was the most significant, on average: 12.7 percent.

  • Private company with local capital – 1168 EUR in hands (2019-1051 EUR in hands). Growth: 11 percent.
